EtcMove Over, Sims—Krafton’s inZOI Tops Global Charts Within Minutes

As soon as Krafton launched its life simulation game in ZOI, it soared to the top of Steam’s sales chart at 9 a.m. on Friday.

Within 40 minutes of its early access release, inZOI claimed the global bestseller spot on Steam, the world’s largest PC gaming platform.

The day before its launch, on Thursday, the game had already secured the top position on Steam’s global wishlist and ranked fifth in Twitch’s gaming category.

The early access version is priced at 44,800 KRW (approximately 30 USD). Until the official release, players can enjoy free downloadable content (DLC) and updates.

This pricing strategy is seen as a game-changer, especially when compared to The Sims’ industry standard, which typically charges 40,000 to 50,000 KRW (approximately 27 to 34 USD) for each DLC pack.

The early access version supports 13 languages: Korean, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), and Polish.

Players can check the translation completion rates for each language within the game. The development team is committed to continuous updates, including language expansion and translation improvements, to ensure a diverse and high-quality linguistic experience.

Kim Hyungjun, CEO of inZOI Studio and the game’s executive director, expressed his commitment: “We will engage in genuine communication with creators worldwide and work tirelessly to enhance and evolve the game before the official launch.”
