Samsung Electronics announced on Wednesday that 14 models, including their 2026 OLED and The Frame Pro TVs and soundbars, have received the Product Carbon Reduction certification from Germany’s TÜV Rheinland.

The company also secured Carbon Footprint certification for 20 models, including Micro RGB and Mini LED TVs.

TÜV Rheinland evaluates greenhouse gas emissions across a TV product’s entire lifecycle, from manufacturing and transportation to use and disposal, based on its own measurement standards, to grant the Carbon Footprint certification.

Among these, products that demonstrate reduced carbon emissions compared to existing models, as a result of the company’s ongoing efforts to lower carbon output, also receive the Carbon Reduction certification.

Since 2021, when Samsung’s Neo QLED TV became the first 4K-or-higher resolution TV to receive the Carbon Reduction certification, the company has continued to earn this recognition across various product lines, including QLED, OLED, lifestyle TVs, monitors, and digital signage.

This year, Samsung focused on certifying premium models, including the Micro RGB, OLED, and The Frame Pro TVs. Notably, the company expanded its carbon neutrality efforts beyond TVs, with the 2026 soundbar Q990H receiving both Carbon Footprint and Carbon Reduction certifications.

Han Tae Yong, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, said the company, as the global TV market leader, is committed not only to delivering superior picture quality but also to advancing carbon reduction across the product lifecycle to support a more sustainable future.
