North Korea has appointed a new ambassador to Belarus, a key pro-Russian nation.

The ruling party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on its second page on April 12 that Ji Kyung-soo, the newly appointed North Korean ambassador to Belarus, presented his credentials to President Alexander Lukashenko on April 10. Ambassador Ji conveyed warm greetings from Kim Jong Un, the General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea. President Lukashenko expressed his deep appreciation in response.

The front page covered Prime Minister Pak Thae-song’s visit to the construction site of the Samjiyon Mountain Tourist Area and the first phase of the Dancheon Power Plant, which is nearing completion. The report stated that Prime Minister Pak emphasized the need to enhance construction capabilities to strictly adhere to the project timeline and complete it to the highest quality standards.

The fifth page promoted the Samjiyon City tourist area. It showcased images of residents skiing in the Mount Paektu area and enjoying hot springs at the Mount Paektu Secret Camp Hotel, proclaiming that laughter and joy overflow in this paradise bestowed by the Party.

The sixth page reported on residents visiting the class education room at the Dancheon Smelting Plant. The newspaper conveyed that residents are unable to contain their outrage at the brutal acts of American imperialist murderers.
