Samsung Electronics has leaked official rendering images of its new foldable smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, set to be officially unveiled on July 22.

On Thursday, tech news outlet Android Headlines revealed renderings of Samsung’s upcoming foldable phone lineup, featuring the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the successor to the Fold 7, and the Flip 8.

The new Galaxy Z Fold 8, dubbed a wide foldable phone with a 16:10 aspect ratio, will launch in three official colors: cream, graphite, and lavender, as previously reported.

The external display is expected to feature a 5.5-inch quad high definition plus (QHD+) screen. When unfolded, it will have a 4:3 aspect ratio, similar to that of the Galaxy Tab.

The rear camera will include a dual-camera setup, without a telephoto lens.

The device is projected to weigh around 200 grams (about 0.44 lbs) making it thin and lightweight. When opened, its thickness will be approximately 0.18 inches (about 4.5 mm), and when folded, it will measure about 0.38 inches (about 9.7 mm).

The mobile processor (AP) will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the same as the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It will feature 12GB of random access memory (RAM) and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The battery will be 4,800 mAh, larger than previous Fold generations, but the charging speed will remain at 25W.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, succeeding the Galaxy Z Fold 7, will closely resemble its predecessor. Reports indicate that the camera specifications will remain the same, although the rendering images suggest a slightly smaller punch-hole size.

It will also feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile AP and 12GB of RAM, with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

The specifications will be slightly improved, with a 5,000 mAh battery, the largest capacity ever in a Galaxy Z Fold, and an increased maximum charging speed of 45W. It will be available in four colors: cream, graphite, green shadow, and violet shadow.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 will also have a design very similar to its predecessor. The colors revealed include cream, graphite, and pink.

While the North American and Chinese models will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile AP, models in South Korea and regions like Europe and South America are expected to use Samsung’s own Exynos 2600 chipset.

Other anticipated features include a 4,300 mAh battery, 25W wired charging, and a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics unveiled the invitation for its Galaxy Unpacked event for the second half of 2026 yesterday.

Noh Tae-moon, President of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, stated that the best experiences come from devices that understand users the best, and announced that Samsung will showcase its ability to connect numerous devices, services, and partners into a single experience through SmartThings at the Samsung 2026 Unpacked event.
