NCT member Jaehyun is making a sizzling comeback after completing his military service.
The K-pop star is set to drop his new single “99 Degrees” on various digital platforms on Friday at 6:00 p.m. (Korean time).
Jaehyun, who participated in both writing and composing the track, delivers a heartfelt ballad that opens with delicate piano melodies. The song explores the essence of love, finding perfection in the imperfect “99 degrees” – just shy of the boiling point – and how relationships reach completion through connection.
Fans are buzzing with excitement for “99 Degrees,” as it marks Jaehyun’s first release in nearly 1 year and 9 months, following his digital single “Unconditional” from October 2024.
After enlisting on November 4, 2024, Jaehyun served in the Army’s Military Academy Support Division until his discharge on May 3. He wasted no time reconnecting with fans, kicking off his FAN-CON TOUR Mono at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium in June.
The tour swept through five Asian cities, including Macau, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Taipei, totaling eight performances. Wrapping up in Taipei on July 5, Jaehyun touched fans’ hearts, expressing that every moment shared during the tour was precious and joyful.
Fresh from his military hiatus, Jaehyun is poised to turn up the heat with “99 Degrees,” promising an even more passionate connection with his fanbase.
Since his April 2016 debut with NCT U, Jaehyun has captured global attention through his work with NCT 127 and NCT DoJaeJung. He further solidified his solo potential with the release of his first full-length album J in August 2024.
