Hankook Tire & Technology announced on Tuesday that its electric vehicle-specific all-season tire, the iON FlexClimate, has clinched the top spot in the EV All-Season Tire Test conducted by Auto Bild.

The comprehensive evaluation involved mounting 245/45 R19 all-season tires designed for electric vehicles on a Hyundai Ioniq 6. The test assessed ten key criteria, including braking efficiency, steering response, wear resistance, noise levels, ride comfort, and energy efficiency across a range of driving conditions.

The test results revealed that the iON FlexClimate consistently delivered stable driving performance and superior energy efficiency across all tests, earning a Very Good rating and securing first place. Notably, it outperformed established brands like Michelin in six categories, including hydroplaning resistance, handling, braking performance, and rolling resistance.

In its overall assessment, Auto Bild lauded the iON FlexClimate as a tire that delivers top-tier driving performance with dynamic and balanced characteristics in all weather scenarios.

Hankook Tire’s iON FlexClimate is part of the iON brand, the company’s dedicated line of electric vehicle tires. The iON brand has been selected as an original equipment supplier for flagship models of premium electric vehicle manufacturers, including Porsche, Audi, BMW, Hyundai, Kia, Tesla, and BYD.
