Chinese electronics company Xiaomi is creating a buzz with the launch of its first self-developed electric car, the SU7.

According to CarNewsChina on the 29th, the SU7 is the first electric car developed by Xiaomi, famous for its low-cost smartphones. When its real-life photos were first revealed in December last year, the car received attention for its design, which resembles Porsche’s electric car Taycan.

In addition to the previously released Gulf Blue, a total of six colors, including Olive Green and Ash Gray, have been added.

The SU7 was released in three versions: Basic, Pro, and Max. The Basic is priced at 215,900 yuan (about $33,800), the Pro at 245,900 yuan (about $38,500), and the top-specifications Max at 299,900 yuan (about $47,000).

The Basic version can drive up to 435 miles when fully charged and can drive up to 217 miles with a 15-minute charge.

The Max can drive up to 516 miles when fully charged. Its 0-62 mph acceleration time is 2.78 seconds, and its maximum speed is 165 mph.

The body of the SU7 measures 196.6 inches in length, 77.2 inches in width, and 57.2 inches in height, with a wheelbase of 118.1 inches. It’s roughly the same size as the G80.

The SU7 features the self-developed HyperOS operating system by Xiaomi, establishing the Xiaomi Ecosystem that connects to smartphones. It also applies the autonomous driving technology, Xiaomi Pilot.

Meanwhile, the Basic and Max versions will start delivering at the end of April, and the Pro is expected to be delivered at the end of May.
