“Without the need for separate searches, the ability to get answers through voice commands (the AI feature of the Galaxy S25) seems to be a significant advantage.”
Seo Kyung Deok, a 35-year-old office worker from Incheon and the first customer in South Korea to activate the Galaxy S25 with SK Telecom, shared this sentiment on Tuesday regarding the anticipated features of the Galaxy S25.
On Tuesday around 8 a.m., SK Telecom hosted the “Galaxy S25 Double Up Party” at the T Factory, an ICT complex cultural space in Hongdae, Seoul. Fifty participants, including
Mr. Seo, who overcame approximately 50-to-1 odds among pre-order customers, attended the event.
Mr. Seo, who has been using SK Telecom for about four years, said, “I had been using Galaxy devices since the S9 but switched to an iPhone recently. Visiting the T Factory and trying out the product was an opportunity to return to Galaxy.” He purchased the Galaxy S25 Plus.

As the first activation customer, Mr. Seo was also presented with Samsung Electronics’ latest Galaxy Book 5 Pro laptop. He commented, “I will take this opportunity to use the laptop more.”
Attendees, including Mr. Seo, received welcome gifts such as a three-month free subscription to Disney+, a 100,000 KRW ($68.50) voucher for Casetify, and a Disney welcome kit.
The event also featured a Galaxy unboxing session hosted by singer Defconn and a lecture by YouTuber Wine King.
Kim Sang Beom, an executive at SK Telecom, remarked, “I realized that when Samsung makes something, it’s different,” adding, “This year, everyone here can take pride in using the best phone and the best communication service.”
Yoon Nam Ho, a senior manager at Samsung Electronics, stated, “We put our all into launching the AI phone,” and promised, “We aimed to make daily life increasingly convenient, but if you find any inconveniences, please let us know at any time. We will make it even more convenient.”
