On March 8, Park Jung-won, Chairman of Doosan Group, made a return visit to Las Vegas after just two months. His purpose was to personally assess the future technological competitiveness of the construction equipment division, continuing his hands-on management approach.

Doosan Group reported that Chairman Park attended CONEXPO 2026, North America’s largest construction equipment exhibition, which concluded on March 7. He inspected new products at the Doosan Bobcat and Doosan Motrol booths, and carefully examined the commercialization status of artificial intelligence (AI) based automation technology by touring the exhibits of global competitors.

Chairman Park showed particular interest in the AI-driven technological shifts sweeping the construction equipment market. He emphasized that the construction equipment landscape, traditionally hardware-centric, is undergoing a transformation due to AI advancements. It must lead the market by leveraging our unique data to develop differentiated AI technologies.

At this year’s CONEXPO, Doosan Bobcat unveiled over 30 state-of-the-art products incorporating AI and electrification technologies. The company introduced a new brand strategy, segmenting their offerings into the value-oriented Classic line and the high-end Pro series. The Pro models feature advanced AI capabilities, including the Jobsite Companion, which uses voice recognition for function control, and Jobsite Awareness, an autonomous obstacle detection and stopping system.

The Jobsite Companion, slated for release this summer, is designed to boost productivity by providing AI-powered guidance to less experienced operators. This innovation garnered significant attention after its industry-first debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year and its selection as a finalist for the Next Level Award at CONEXPO.

This year’s CONEXPO, themed Opening New Horizons, spotlighted AI-based automation and electrified equipment as key trends, offering a glimpse into the future of intelligent construction sites.
