Doosan Enerbility (034020) has secured an additional gas turbine order in the United States, further strengthening its presence in the global market.
Doosan Enerbility announced on the 6th that it signed a contract with a U.S. company to supply seven 380-MW-class gas turbines. The company plans to deliver one gas turbine and generator per month starting in May 2029 for a data center being built by the client. While the company did not disclose the contract value due to confidentiality requirements, industry estimates suggest the deal could be worth hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars.
Including this agreement, Doosan Enerbility will supply a total of 12 gas turbines to the United States.
The company’s rapid expansion of gas turbine orders in the U.S. market is attributed to a combination of proven performance, fast delivery capability, and service support from its local subsidiary.
Since successfully developing domestically produced large gas turbine technology in 2019, Doosan Enerbility has secured technological reliability by completing 17,000 hours of validation testing. Including this latest contract, the company has secured a total of 23 gas turbine orders to date, demonstrating its competitiveness. Maintenance and service capabilities from its U.S. subsidiary, Doosan Turbomachinery Services (DTS) located in Houston have also contributed to winning contracts.
Son Seung-woo, head of Power Service BG at Doosan Enerbility, said, “With this contract, we will supply a total of 12 gas turbines to the United States, further solidifying our position as a global player. Doosan will continue to provide competitive gas turbines and actively respond to growing demand both domestically and internationally.”
