Hanwha Power Systems announced on Wednesday that it will rebrand as Hanwha Power, integrating its brand with the American gas turbine service company PSM.

The new name embodies the company’s identity and its ambition to expand beyond energy equipment into comprehensive power generation solutions.

This merger will allow both entities to consolidate their core energy capabilities, with a focus on gas turbines and compressors. They also plan to develop an integrated energy infrastructure solution that covers everything from primary equipment and auxiliary devices to operations and services.

Hanwha Power aims to establish itself as a key industrial partner, providing systems that convert energy into electricity while safeguarding power technology sovereignty. With the surge in large-scale data centers and the expansion of distributed energy, the company plans to aggressively target the growing market for high-efficiency gas turbines and precision fuel supply systems, which are becoming increasingly crucial for stable power supply.

This approach will enable customers to optimize their projects from design to operation through a single partner, allowing for more flexible and reliable responses to the evolving energy landscape.

Rafi Balta, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hanwha Power, stated that as energy equipment reaches peak importance, Hanwha Power will leverage the rotating machinery expertise to consolidate global capabilities and strengthen the entire power industry value chain. By enhancing local responsiveness and service quality, it aims to improve power plant reliability and efficiency, positioning themselves as a global energy solutions leader in the decarbonization era.

With this rebranding, Hanwha Power plans to seamlessly integrate its global operations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, maximizing synergies in technology development, engineering, sales, and services.
