ILLIT has made its mark on the Circle Chart’s mid-year rankings.
According to the Circle Chart’s mid-year rankings announced on the 12th, the title track “Magnetic” from ILLIT’s first mini-album, Super Real Me, topped the global K-pop chart. “Magnetic” secured the seventh position in both the digital and streaming categories, earning a spot in the Top 10.
Released on March 25, the song “Magnetic” quickly topped Circle Chart’s April monthly rankings in three categories: global K-pop, digital, and streaming. Impressively, it held the number one spot in the Global K-pop category for two consecutive months, April and May, showcasing its global appeal. The song also scored a “Perfect All-Kill,” reigning supreme across all major domestic music charts.
ILLIT’s musical influence extended not only within South Korea but also abroad. They made K-pop history on two of the world’s major music charts: Billboard in the United States and the Official Charts in the U.K. They became the first K-pop group to debut on Billboard’s main song chart, the Hot 100, and the quickest K-pop artist to enter the U.K.’s Official Top 100 with their debut song.
“Magnetic” is also leaving its mark on Spotify, surpassing 300 million streams in just about three months, a new record for the fastest time achieved by a debut song from a K-pop girl group.
