K-pop group BabyMonster has started filming music videos for its first full-length album.

Its agency, YG Entertainment, announced, “Starting today, we will be producing several music videos for BabyMonster’s debut album, scheduled for release this fall, including one for the title track.”

According to YG, filming will occur at various pre-secured locations, and with extensive support, they are expected to complete this major project successfully.

This reflects Chief Producer Yang Hyun Suk’s confidence in BabyMonster, YG’s next-generation girl group. They seem poised to focus all their efforts on promoting several tracks from the album, including the title song.

YG stated, “The recording for BabyMonster’s first full-length album is complete, and we are in the final stages of production.” They also hinted, “The choreography for several songs, which will be filmed over the next few weeks, is already finished.”

Earlier this year, BabyMonster confirmed the official debut date of all seven members as April 1 and released its first mini-album, BABYMONS7ER. The music video for the title track, “SHEESH,” set a record as the fastest debut song by a K-pop girl group to reach 100 million views in just ten days. It has since surpassed 296 million views and is approaching 300 million. The choreography video has also gained significant popularity, exceeding 150 million views.

BabyMonster’s rise to fame has been driven not by traditional promotions but by showcasing the live performance skills of all seven members, which gradually captured attention and helped them climb the charts.

To build anticipation for its upcoming album, BabyMonster pre-released “FOREVER,” one of the tracks, on July 1. They also connected with fans through a global fan meeting, engaging audiences at 12 events across seven Asian cities. At Japan’s prestigious Summer Sonic 2024 music festival, they left a lasting impression on fans worldwide, showcasing their exceptional talent as rising stars.

YG stated, “We wanted to share the confirmation of the full-length album release with all the global fans who have supported and waited for BabyMonster,” adding, “We hope this album provides an opportunity to connect with fans who have been cheering for BabyMonster from afar. We are now in the final stages of preparation for a significant new beginning. We will soon share more details, including the release date.”
