K-pop group Weeekly concluded its debut North American tour with a final performance in Los Angeles, marking a significant milestone in its international journey.
Weeekly held the last show of the Weeekly Grand America Tour: Weeekly University on Sunday at the Teragram Ballroom, where they connected with local fans.
The Weeekly Grand America Tour is Weeekly’s first solo overseas tour since its debut four years ago. Starting in Mexico on the 6th, they successfully performed in nine cities across North America, including Colombia, Orlando, New York, Toronto, Dallas, Boulder, and Portland, before wrapping up in Los Angeles, showcasing their growing global presence.
As the tour’s final stop, the energy in LA was more electrifying than ever. Weeekly thrilled the audience during the concert with a diverse setlist highlighting its four-year career. It featured its debut song “Tag Me,” the Spotify hit “After School,” which has garnered 200 million streams. Its refreshing summer track, “LIGHTS ON,” was released in July.
The group also prepared a special cover of a popular song, engaging closely with fans through eye contact and hand gestures, creating unforgettable memories together during the performance.
Through this tour, Weeekly showcased its upgraded musical abilities, supported by its dedicated fans and polished stage presence. After the tour, they shared their reflections on the nearly month-long series of performances through their agency.
Weeekly remarked, “Preparing for our first North American tour had its challenges, but we encountered new cities, environments, and various situations that provided us with valuable experiences. We are so happy to have the opportunity to create such meaningful memories in our lives.”
They added, “Meeting our overseas Daily fans (official fandom name) in person gave us so much energy. Although we may be physically apart, I feel our hearts are close. We will seek more opportunities to connect with our overseas Dailys, and we are always grateful for your endless love and support.”
Looking ahead, after wrapping up its extensive Weeekly Grand America Tour, Weeekly is set to hold a fan concert, Weeekly University Festival, in Japan this October, continuing its global momentum.
