President Yoon Seok Yeol’s job performance approval rating has been surveyed at 34% for two consecutive weeks.
According to a poll conducted by Gallup Korea from the 26th to the 28th and released on the 29th, 1,001 voters nationwide aged 18 and over rated President Yoon’s job performance as the same as last week, at 34%.
The negative evaluation was also surveyed to be the same as last week, at 58%. Positive and negative were 3%, and not sure/refusal to answer was 5%.
When looking at the reasons for the positive evaluation, “Expansion of medical school quotas” dropped by five percentage points from last week to 22%. This was followed by diplomacy (8%), decisiveness/drive/tenacity (7%), overall good performance (7%), economy/livelihood (5%), national defense/security (4%), and policies/welfare for the common people (4%).
The reason for the negative evaluation was “Economy/livelihood/prices,” which was the highest at 23%, up one percentage point from last week. This was followed by unilateralism (9%), expansion of medical school quotas (8%), and lack of communication (7%).

By age group, only those in their 70s and over had a positive evaluation exceeding 60%. Between the 20s and the 40s, the positive evaluation stayed in the 20% range. In the 50s, the positive evaluation was 46%, similar to the negative evaluation (49%).
This survey was conducted by randomly extracting virtual numbers provided by three mobile communication companies and via telephone interview. The margin of error is ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. The response rate is 15.4%.
