According to local police in Uijeongbu City, no signs of murder were found in the case of a man’s body, which was discovered naked in the city drains.

On the 17th, the Uijeongbu Police Station reported that the National Forensic Service verbally communicated to the police that morning that there were “No circumstances that suggest a homicide” after performing an autopsy on the deceased.

However, the identity of the man is yet to be confirmed.

The police attempted to identify the body immediately after recovery by collecting fingerprints, but this effort was unsuccessful due to the lack of matching records.

They are now focusing on identifying the man through genetic comparison.

Based on a Marine Corps tattoo found on the body, police are assuming that the man is a Korean citizen.

The deceased man’s body was discovered in a storm drain near Nogyang Station in Uijeongbu City around 2:40 PM on the 16th.

The body was found and reported by construction workers who were surveying the area for a future waterway project.

At the time of discovery, the body was naked and showed some signs of decay. No noticeable external injuries were observed.
