BLACKSWAN, a K-pop girl group without any Korean members, is launching full-fledged activities in South Korea.

BLACKSWAN will release its new album, Roll Up, on the 31st at 6 p.m.

Roll Up marks BLACKSWAN’s debut mini-album since the group transformed into a multinational K-pop girl group without Korean members following its single “That Karma,” released last May. The album features four tracks.

The title track, “Roll Up,” epitomizes the ultimate girl crush concept for BLACKSWAN. It’s a dance song characterized by intense performances and aggressive beats, encouraging listeners to confidently express themselves without worrying about others’ opinions. The infectious hooks of roll up and rolling up add to its addictive appeal.

“Roll Up” brought together a powerhouse team of producers, including Rob Grimaldi, Alina Smith, Lauren Dyson, A Wright, Alex Schwoebel, Rence, and Matty Michna, who have previously collaborated with BTS with its mega-hit “Butter” and BLACKPINK’s “Love to Hate Me.”

Lyricists Bay, Jeon Se Hee, and Yoon Yi from the talented music group 153/Joombas collaborated in crafting the song.

The choreography, led by world-class choreographer KANY, known for collaborations with artists like Beyoncé and SHINee, accentuated BLACKSWAN’s distinctive charm and dynamic performance prowess.

The music video for the title track has generated attention. It was directed by Lee Sa Gang from the ZANYBROS team and filmed on location in Dubai.

Starting with the release of its music on the 31st, BLACKSWAN, represented by DR Entertainment, is launching full-fledged domestic promotions. CEO Yoon Deung Ryong expressed strong anticipation: “At debut, as a K-pop girl group composed entirely of foreigners without any Koreans, the numerous question marks will now turn into exclamation points.”

Since its reformation, BLACKSWAN has gained attention through interviews with CNN, BBC, Rolling Stones, and Billboard. The group has showcased a unique blend of Eastern and Western influences at notable events, including the opening ceremony of the 2023 Hockey World Cup in Odisha, India, as well as in Mumbai, Los Angeles, and Waterbomb in Dubai.
