A Chinese man in his 40s surrendered to the police after allegedly killing an acquaintance during a dispute over money.

Seoul’s Gwanak Police Station announced today that they arrested a Chinese man on suspicion of murder and are currently investigating the case.

He allegedly fatally stabbed a Chinese man in his 30s during an argument over financial matters at the suspect’s residence in the Doksan-dong neighborhood of Geumcheon-gu around 8:30 PM yesterday.

According to the police reports, the suspect voluntarily turned himself in at Gwanak Police Station around 10 PM on the same day. Both the suspect and the victim have been confirmed as undocumented migrant workers.

The police are investigating the specific details of the incident and intend to seek an arrest warrant for the suspect.
