South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol stated on Tuesday, “The unlawful military collaboration between North Korea and Russia is a serious matter that could threaten our national security.”

Yoon made this statement during a Cabinet meeting that morning, describing it as a major security threat to the international community.

With the potential deployment of North Korean troops to the Ukrainian front drawing closer, President Yoon instructed the Cabinet to examine all possible scenarios and prepare countermeasures thoroughly.

He urged all officials to approach risk management with heightened alertness.

Yoon further noted, “Concerns about global uncertainties are greater than ever. The U.S. presidential election is next week, and tensions in the Middle East have escalated following Israel’s recent attack on Iran.”

He emphasized the need for prompt responses, stating, “We must act swiftly to prevent supply chains, oil prices, and exchange rates from negatively impacting our economy.”
