Mark’s ‘Fraktsiya’ Is Here: NCT Star Teams Up with Lee Young Ji for an Epic New Release

Mark of the K-pop boy band NCT has released his new track “Fraktsiya” (Feat. Lee Young Ji).

“Fraktsiya” and its music video, which premiered simultaneously on YouTube’s SMTOWN channel and other platforms, became available on global music platforms on Monday at 6 p.m.

“Fraktsiya” is a hip-hop track featuring house-style chord progressions, a heavy 808 bass, and a strikingly repetitive synthesizer sound. It incorporates UK drill, a hip-hop subgenre, showcasing a fresh side of Mark with his unique charm and sharp, captivating rap style.

The lyrics use “Fraktsiya” as a metaphor for the dynamic and versatile artistry of Mark and Lee Young Ji, who seamlessly transition between the K-pop and hip-hop scenes. The song highlights the confidence of both artists as they excel in their respective domains, doubling listeners’ enjoyment.

Regarding the track, Mark shared, “I began working on this song as I reflected on my place in K-pop and the many different sides of myself.” He added, “I felt that Young Ji has a character similar to mine, so I asked her to feature on the track, and she gladly agreed.” He continued, “I believed Young Ji and I would have a unique chemistry, and ‘Fraktsiya’ confirmed that I was right. I sincerely thank her once again.”
