South Korean actress Song Hye Kyo is set to reflect on her acting career during her appearance on the talk show You Quiz on the Block after 23 years.
In the preview for next week’s episode of tvN’s variety program You Quiz on the Block, aired last Wednesday evening, Song Hye Kyo’s upcoming appearance caught viewers’ attention.
Song Hye Kyo appeared cheerful as she spoke about making a talk show appearance for the first time in 23 years, saying, “I do have a bit of a desire to make people laugh.” She also shared an anecdote about meeting Yoo Jae Suk years ago when he hosted a meal for fellow entertainers. Song humorously commented on viral photos of her traveling with actress Kim Hye Soo and dining with Suzy, saying, “They’re all women.”
Reflecting on her acting career, Song candidly admitted, “When I watched my acting, I found myself so boring. ” She also revealed that she spent five years focusing on self-discipline, saying, “I practiced self-discipline in the morning and evening.” Regarding her acceptance speech at last year’s Blue Dragon Series Awards, where she said to herself, “You worked hard, Hye Kyo,” she explained, “I felt I deserved to compliment myself.”
Song expressed her sincere thoughts: “As a woman, as a human, and as an actress, I have experienced both struggles and happiness. “This raised anticipation for the full broadcast.
Having been loved as a top star since her debut, Song Hye Kyo experienced another peak in her career in 2023 as the lead in The Glory drama. She is now preparing for the release of her upcoming film, The Black Nun.
