In the latest episode of Salondrip 2, which aired Tuesday on the YouTube channel Teo, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo opened up about her life after stepping into the role of CEO. The episode comes just ahead of the release of her highly anticipated mini-album AMORTAGE, set to drop on February 14.

As she prepares for her album debut, Jisoo joked, “I had to make decisions about everything. Is this what being a CEO is all about?” Having launched her own agency last year, Jisoo shared with viewers how her life has dramatically changed since taking on the executive role.

One of the biggest adjustments, Jisoo revealed, has been dealing with financial matters. Reflecting on expenses she never considered as an artist, she laughed, saying, “One of the first surprises after starting the company was when I decided to replace a mouse because it wasn’t great. I thought, Do I really need to be involved in this? I initially wanted to oversee everything, even mouse-related issues.” She added with a grin, “They asked me why I didn’t just buy a good one from the start.”

Jisoo also explained that while she didn’t attend every weekly meeting, she was still deeply involved in the album’s production, actively participating and bringing in samples for discussion. During the “Flower” era, she focused on every detail, even down to the angle of the flowers. She also recalled how, while preparing for “Flower” activities during their tour, her BLACKPINK members were incredibly supportive. Jisoo specifically praised Rosé, who even went so far as to draw sketches to help out, which gave her peace of mind. However, Jisoo admitted she felt a bit disappointed this time around since the album preparation didn’t coincide with a tour.

Jisoo also shared that all the members, except for Lisa, had already heard the new track and given it positive feedback. She teased BLACKPINK’s fans with exciting news, hinting at the group’s plans for full-scale activities and tours this year. “I think we’ll definitely make an appearance as a quartet this year,” she said, fueling anticipation for what’s to come.
