The remains of Taiwanese actress and Clon member Koo Jun Yup’s wife, the late Barbie Hsu, have arrived in Taiwan.

On Wednesday, ET Today reported that Barbie Hsu’s remains were transported via a private chartered flight from Haneda Airport in Japan to Taipei Songshan Airport. Koo Jun Yup and Barbie Hsu’s younger sister, TV personality Dee Hsu, accompanied her. The remains were then immediately taken to the family home.

Through her agency, Dee Hsu shared that “She has safely arrived home” and expressed her belief that “She is now at peace and without worries in heaven.”

She added, “As Barbie Hsu was always humble, we will not hold a public memorial service. If you miss her, please keep her memory alive in your hearts. Our family is truly grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown her.”

Earlier, the Central News Agency (CNA) and ET Today reported that Barbie Hsu passed away on Sunday due to flu-related pneumonia while on a family vacation in Japan. The family had completed her cremation process in Japan.

Barbie Hsu gained fame in Taiwan for her role as Shan Cai in Meteor Garden, the Taiwanese adaptation of the popular Japanese manga Boys Over Flowers, which aired in 2001. In South Korea, she became well-known for her high-profile relationship with Koo Jun Yup of Clon. The two first met in Taiwan in 1998 and started dating but parted ways after a year due to the challenges of a long-distance relationship and opposition from their agencies. After Barbie Hsu’s divorce from Chinese business mogul Wang Xiaofei in 2021, Koo Jun Yup reached out to her after more than 20 years. They rekindled their relationship and married in 2022. Barbie Hsu is survived by two children, a son, and a daughter, from her previous marriage.
