Samsung Electronics has confirmed that approximately 5,000 units of its latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, were stolen in London, UK.

According to Samsung Electronics, on Monday, the theft occurred near London’s Heathrow International Airport, where about 5,000 units of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, along with other Samsung Electronics products, were taken.

The incident is classified as a crime that occurred during the distribution process. Samsung Electronics has insurance coverage in place, ensuring that the company’s actual financial loss is none.

British police have launched an investigation into the incident. The container on the stolen truck has been found empty.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which Samsung Electronics launched globally in July, continues to gain popularity worldwide. It has set a record for pre-sales in the U.S. market, outperforming all previous foldable phone models.
