A mother was caught on camera leaving a convenience store without cleaning up after her child urinated on the sidewalk.

On Monday, JTBC’s Scandal Supervisor shared a story from Mr. A, who operates a convenience store in Cheorwon County, Gangwon Province.

According to Mr. A, a woman recently visited the store with her child. When the child expressed a desire to enter the convenience store, the mother instructed them to wait in the car.

Footage shows the child leaving the store, seemingly heading toward the car, only to return. Subsequently, the child pulled down their pants and urinated on the sidewalk in front of the store.

After completing her purchase and leaving the store, the mother witnessed the scene, hesitated momentarily, then ushered her child into the car and drove away.

This left Mr. A responsible for cleaning up. He expressed his frustration, noting that there was a restroom outside the store. Mr. A added that if she had simply asked, he could have directed her, but instead, she allowed her child to relieve themselves right there.

Online commentators responded with remarks such as, “A child’s behavior often reflects their parents,” “They must have been in a desperate situation,” and “Few convenience stores permit public restroom use these days.”
