SEERS is expanding its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered patient monitoring services from hospitals to homes. The company aims to develop a comprehensive service that continuously tracks the health status of discharged patients and those with chronic conditions by integrating biometric data from wearable devices with lifestyle information gathered through non-contact sensors.
On Friday, SEERS announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ZeroWeb, a home healthcare company specializing in non-contact sensor technology, to jointly develop an AI-driven home patient monitoring service.
This partnership seeks to create an integrated patient management model by combining SEERS’s expertise in wearable biometric monitoring with ZeroWeb’s proficiency in analyzing daily life data.
SEERS plans to leverage its technology and operational experience gained from domestic medical institutions through its AI inpatient monitoring platform, thynC, and adapt it for home environments.
ZeroWeb will contribute its non-contact sensor-based home monitoring solution, Carebell. This innovative system collects data on patient movement, sleep patterns, and presence, analyzing changes in lifestyle and identifying potential health concerns.
A key feature of the system is its ability to alert a monitoring center when anomalies are detected, enabling timely check-ins with patients or communication with caregivers to ensure appropriate care is provided.
The two companies will jointly develop an integrated monitoring system that merges biometric data with lifestyle pattern analysis. This advanced system will allow healthcare professionals to conduct comprehensive health assessments by reviewing changes in vital signs, such as heart rate, alongside information about patients’ daily activities and sleep patterns.
Through this initiative, SEERS aims to establish a robust framework for monitoring the health status of patients recovering at home post-discharge and those requiring ongoing management for chronic conditions.
In March 2024, SEERS entered into a domestic supply agreement for thynC with Daewoong Pharmaceutical. Under this arrangement, Daewoong oversees distribution and after-sales services in Korea, while SEERS manages manufacturing, production, and technical support.
ThynC achieved a significant milestone in February 2025 by securing health insurance reimbursement for its real-time inpatient monitoring systems, specifically for electrocardiogram monitoring (EX871). As of March this year, the system has been implemented in 176 hospitals across the country, covering 16,757 hospital beds.
The collaborative roadmap includes data integration, development of the integrated monitoring system, and technology validation by the first half of next year. Following regulatory approvals, the companies plan to initiate pilot testing with patients at partner medical institutions in the latter half of the year.
Based on the results of these pilot studies, the partners intend to broaden their collaboration through joint commercialization efforts and participation in government-sponsored research initiatives.
SEERS is also expanding its footprint in the home patient monitoring sector this year through strategic partnerships with Hering’s, Yonsei Song Internal Medicine, and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance.
ZeroWeb Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lee Jae-hyun expressed optimism about the partnership, stating that the synergy between SEERS’s precise biometric signal technology and ZeroWeb’s daily life data will enables them to gain a more comprehensive understanding of changes in patient conditions.
SEERS CEO Lee Young-shin commented that this collaboration will allows them to extend the medical monitoring technology into home settings and systematically validate a novel patient management model that integrates biometric signals with daily life data.
