An 80-year-old man who allegedly killed a woman in her 50s and injured her son in an apartment in Gangnam is now facing possible arrest.

According to the Seoul Seocho Police Station, Judge Shin Young Hee of the Seoul Central District Court will conduct a suspect examination (warrant substantive examination) for the murder suspect at 3:30 p.m. on May 9th. It is reported that the man has expressed his intention to waive his right to appear in court. The man is accused of entering an apartment in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul at around 8 a.m. on May 7th, killing the woman with whom he had a financial dispute, and injuring her son. Fortunately, the son’s life is not in danger.

The man was arrested on the spot after confessing his crime at a nearby police station immediately after the incident. The police applied for an arrest warrant for the man on May 8th.
