JYP Entertainment has signed an agreement with Yonsei University Medical Center (Yonsei Medical Center) to support the treatment of vulnerable children and adolescents, donating KRW 500 million (approximately $424,000).

JYP Entertainment (referred to as JYP) and Yonsei Medical Center held a donation agreement ceremony for the treatment of vulnerable pediatric patients on the morning of the 25th in the director’s conference room of the Yonsei Medical Center’s general hall, located in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.

Key officials, including JYP Vice President Byun Sang Bong, Yonsei Medical Center Director Keum Ki Chang, Severance Hospital Director Lee Kang Young, Gangnam Severance Hospital Director Song Young Goo, Yongin Severance Hospital Director Kim Eun Kyung, and Director Lee Sang Gil of External Cooperation attended the agreement ceremony.

The donation delivered by JYP to Yonsei Medical Center will support the treatment of vulnerable pediatric patients under 24 years old, both native and foreign, at Severance Hospital, Gangnam Severance Hospital, and Yongin Severance Hospital.

JYP Vice President Byun Sang Bong expressed, “We hope to help patients who are experiencing financial difficulties,” and “We hope that the patients can recover their health and have the opportunity to achieve their dreams.”

JYP is organizing systematic CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities and actively carrying out various social contribution projects under the catchphrase EDM (Every Dream Matters!) as part of its efforts to return the love and support it has received from the public.

One of the core businesses of EDM, the EDM Treatment Support Project, is a representative social contribution activity of JYP that financially supports patients and families experiencing economic difficulties, thereby contributing to protecting precious lives and dreams. This year, JYP has donated a total of KRW 2.8 billion (approximately $2.37 million) to Yonsei University Medical Center, Samsung Seoul Hospital, Seoul Asan Hospital, National Cancer Center, and World Vision, and is carrying out activities to support patients so that the children do not lose their dreams due to their illness.

Furthermore, it is carrying out the EDM Wish Achieving Project to emotionally support children with incurable diseases and thus encourage hope, and the eco-friendly Love Earth project aims to create a healthier living environment. It has been practicing social contribution projects in various ways with fans worldwide to create a better society.
