BTS has clarified that rumors about their involvement with DahnWorld and music chart manipulation are baseless and announced the progress of their ongoing legal actions.

On the 28th, their agency Big Hit Music announced via the official fan platform Weverse, “This quarter, we collected evidence of defamation and infringement of artists’ rights through fan reports and internal monitoring. We have submitted multiple complaints to the investigative agencies.” Big Hit Music added, “As we repeatedly announced in April and May, the various malicious rumors surrounding the artist are not true. We have continued to gather evidence against those involved in the systematic spread of these rumors and included them in our legal actions.”

They continued, “We want to clarify once again that there is no connection or relationship between our company, our artist BTS, and DahnWorld. Rumors of any relationship, including references in BTS’s lyrics, are blatantly false.”

The agency stated, “Upon discovering DahnWorld’s illegal use of IP through this incident, we immediately requested DahnWorld to remove them and received a promise to prevent a recurrence. If similar issues arise in the future, we plan to take strict legal action per the principle and policy of protecting the artist’s IP.”

They also explained, “We have already sent a formal letter to Global Cyber University in February, requesting the cessation of unauthorized use of BTS’ intellectual property rights,” adding, “We also want to make it clear that allegations of illegal marketing including music chart manipulation are not true and have nothing to do with the artist.”

Big Hit Music also revealed, “We are taking legal actions against those who infringed on the artist’s personal information, including the creators of malicious posts. We are currently proceeding with civil and criminal lawsuits against cyber attackers such as the YouTube channel Talduk Sooyongso.”

They added, “We filed a complaint against Talduk Sooyongso in 2022 for defamation and business obstruction. Although the investigation was halted, we have provided the personal details of Talduk Sooyongso to the investigative agency and requested the resumption of the investigation, which is currently underway. Earlier this year, we also filed additional civil lawsuits for damages due to defamation and other illegal activities by Talduk Sooyongso and are preparing for trial.”

Previously, Big Hit Music announced in April and May that they had submitted complaints, clarifying that various allegations including rumors of association with a cult and music chart manipulation were untrue.
