Naver CEO Choi Soo Yeon will attend the 3rd Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit in France next week. As global competition for AI intensifies, world leaders and tech industry titans will convene to discuss concrete strategies for developing and utilizing AI technology.

According to industry sources on Thursday, Choi plans to depart soon for Paris to attend the AI Action Summit, which will take place at the Grand Palais on February 10th and 11th.

The AI Action Summit is the third major global AI event, following the 2023 gathering in the UK and the 2024 summit in South Korea. Discussions will center on AI’s public applications, its impact on the future of work, cultural implications, and global governance frameworks.

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman will attend the meeting.

Representing the South Korean government, Minister Yoo Sang Im of the Ministry of Science and ICT will attend and propose South Korea’s chairmanship of the International Network of AI Safety Institutes.

With this participation, Naver solidifies its position as South Korea’s representative at every AI summit. Last year, Naver’s Global Investment Officer (GIO), Lee Hae Jin, attended the summit in Seoul.

An official from Naver confirmed, “We have received an invitation and are preparing to attend the event.”
