The Astronomical Salaries of NVIDIA Employees

EtcThe Astronomical Salaries of NVIDIA Employees

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on the 26th (local time), half of the employees at NVIDIA, a company leading the recent Wall Street artificial intelligence (AI) rally, earned a salary of more than $228,000 last year.

Accordingly, WSJ also reported that NVIDIA is becoming a black hole for IT talent.

While job postings from big tech companies are decreasing on Indeed’s job recruitment platform, NVIDIA listings are rapidly increasing.

According to another job-seeking platform, Handshake, college students now consider NVIDIA their dream job. Applications for NVIDIA internships in January this year have surged sevenfold compared to a year ago.

Atticus Growth Partners Founder Tom Case said, “NVIDIA is like Facebook in 2014. It’s similar to when Facebook’s stock price soared after going public in May 2012, attracting talent with its high stock prices and salaries.”

NVIDIA currently has about 30,000 employees who call themselves “Nvidians,” reflecting their pride in the company.

On “Blind,” a popular anonymous chat site for IT workers, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang received a 96% approval rating, ranking first among U.S. corporate CEOs.

Working at NVIDIA has become the most preferred dream job by American IT talent.

The WSJ report stated that not only does NVIDIA offer high salaries, but its stock price has rallied to $800, and the CEO has a good reputation, making NVIDIA a magnet for IT talent.
