Hyundai Elevator announced on Friday that it received the main award at the 2025 Red Dot Design Award in Germany.

The design award went to the Smart Hall button, seamlessly integrating foot sensor technology with AI voice recognition capabilities. 

The Smart Hall Button activates its AI voice feature when it detects foot movement near the button.

The product has garnered attention for its significant strides in improving user accessibility. It’s designed to be easily operable not only by individuals with disabilities and the elderly but also by those carrying packages or luggage.

A spokesperson for Hyundai Elevator stated, “We are committed to continually developing solutions and products that go beyond advanced technology, encompassing superior design and enhanced user experience.”

The Red Dot Design Award is widely recognized as one of the world’s top three design awards, alongside Germany’s iF Product Design Award and the United States’ IDEA.
