Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced on Monday that its generative artificial intelligence (AI) service, Amazon Q Developer, now supports Korean.

This enhancement allows Korean developers to perform a wide range of development tasks in their native language, including architecture discussions, document creation, interface design, and application development.

Amazon Q Developer functions as a generative AI-based assistant, comprehending natural language code to assist users in drafting documents and designing interfaces.

Its real-time code feedback feature identifies potential risks, explains the root causes of issues, and proposes solutions.

An AWS spokesperson emphasized that this expansion of Korean language support will create an environment where developers in Korea can more easily grasp complex technical concepts and focus on creative problem-solving. They added that it will enable developers to swiftly handle repetitive tasks and implement reliable code.

The spokesperson further noted that users on both Free and Pro plans will have immediate access to the expanded language feature in the Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and Command Line Interface (CLI). Furthermore, support for the AWS Management Console is also slated for future implementation.
