LG Electronics announced on Wednesday that it clinched a total of 35 awards at the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, including the Best of Best and Best Innovative Product awards.

The Red Dot Design Award is widely recognized as one of the world’s top three design competitions, alongside the iF Design Award and the International Design Excellence Award (IDEA).

LG’s groundbreaking SIGNATURE OLED T (model 77T4), the world’s first wireless and transparent TV, took home the highest honor. This innovative OLED TV allows users to seamlessly switch between black screen and transparent screen modes with a simple remote control.

In black screen mode, viewers can immerse themselves in the content displayed on the impressive 77-inch 4K (3,840 x 2,160) OLED screen. The transparent mode offers a unique viewing experience akin to augmented reality, allowing users to see through the screen to the space behind it.

This cutting-edge product features a true wireless AV transmission solution, delivering 4K content at 144Hz without any loss or delay. It not only enhances the viewing experience but also contributes to a cleaner, more streamlined living space. Peripheral devices such as gaming consoles and set-top boxes can be connected to a separate Zero Connect Box, eliminating the need for direct TV connections.

LG’s Smart Home AI Agent (project name Q9) secured both the Best Innovative Product award and a main prize. This device incorporates LG’s Affectionate Intelligence agent, FURON, which goes beyond mere appliance control to create a more intuitive and comfortable living environment by understanding human needs.

The product’s excellence as a smart space platform earned it the prestigious Best Innovative Product recognition. This marks a significant milestone for LG Electronics, as it’s the first time the company has received the Best Innovative Product award at the Red Dot Awards, in addition to the Innovative Product award.

LG’s prowess in design was further demonstrated by 33 main awards across its diverse product range, including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, TVs, air conditioners, air purifiers, audio devices, monitors, and commercial robots.

Following their success at the iF Design Award 2025, the LG StandbyME 2 – featuring a screen that can be easily detached from its stand for versatile use – and the LG SIGNATURE Smart InstaView refrigerator – which utilizes transparent OLED technology to allow users to view contents without opening the door – also received accolades at the Red Dot Design Award.

Jung Wook-jun, head of LG Electronics’ Design Management Center, affirmed the company’s commitment to innovation, stating that they will continue to strengthen their globally recognized design competitiveness by creating innovative designs that align with customers’ evolving lifestyles.
