OpenAI has announced a significant upgrade to ChatGPT, enabling users to search and utilize their own uploaded data across various cloud services, including Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, and OneDrive.

This enhancement enables more versatile applications, allowing analysts to craft investment reports using corporate slides and documents.

The update also introduces meeting recording and transcription capabilities. Users can now record meetings and generate timestamped notes. This feature puts ChatGPT in direct competition with platforms like ClickUp, Zoom, and Notion, the latter of which recently rolled out its meeting summary function.

In addition, OpenAI has launched a beta version of its deep research feature, which integrates with HubSpot, Linear, Microsoft, and Google tools. This new functionality enables users to produce comprehensive research reports drawing from web-based information. The company has also implemented the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing for seamless connections with other tools. MCP support is available to ChatGPT Pro, Team, and Enterprise subscribers.

OpenAI reports that its enterprise-level ChatGPT products now boast 3 million business subscribers. This marks a significant increase from February, when OpenAI’s COO Brad Lightcap announced a subscriber base of 2 million businesses.
