LG Electronics’ transparent organic light-emitting diode (OLED) television (TV) clinched the top honor at the Innovation For All (IFA) 2025 Innovation Awards, Europe’s premier consumer electronics showcase. The company’s impressive haul of 17 awards reinforced its status as a frontrunner in the global appliance industry.
On September 5, LG Electronics announced that its transparent OLED TV, the LG Signature OLED T, was crowned with the prestigious Best of IFA award at the IFA 2025 Innovation Awards in Berlin, Germany.
To commemorate its 101st anniversary, IFA introduced the Innovation Awards to recognize product innovation and market potential. The jury evaluated entries from about 1,800 global companies participating in IFA 2025, assessing innovation, technology, design, and market impact across 16 categories, including mobility, home appliances, home entertainment, design, and smart home.
The LG Signature OLED T is touted as the world’s first wireless and transparent TV, embodying cutting-edge television technology. It boasts OLED’s superior picture quality, a unique viewing experience through its transparent screen, and a wireless transmission solution that enhances room aesthetics. This groundbreaking product also secured the Excellence Award in the entertainment category, achieving a dual victory.
LG Electronics’ award sweep included the Best of IFA and five Excellence Awards across four categories: mobility, accessibility, home appliances, and home entertainment. The company also garnered 11 additional accolades in home appliances, design, smart home, and home entertainment.
The Spielraum, which clinched the Excellence Award in mobility, showcases LG Electronics’ artificial intelligence (AI) mobility space solution. The German term for playroom aptly describes LG Electronics’ expanded AI home concept, demonstrated at their booth using the LG ThinQ On AI home hub to seamlessly connect home and mobility spaces.
The LG Comfort Kit, tailored for European consumers, earned the Excellence Award in accessibility. This innovative kit features custom-designed assistive accessories, ensuring all users can operate appliances effortlessly, regardless of age, gender, or physical ability.
In the home appliance category, LG’s AI-powered dishwasher—which detects contamination levels and auto-selects cleaning cycles—and the microplastic filter for washing machines both received accolades. The LG Signature OLED T secured another Excellence Award in the home entertainment category.
Other award-winning products included a new built-in robot vacuum, a versatile Wet & Dry cordless stick vacuum designed for simultaneous dust and liquid cleaning with mopping capabilities, the space-saving LG WashTower combining washer and dryer, and the convenient LG WashCombo offering one-touch washing and drying.
The smart home category recognized a new freestanding robot vacuum. Design awards went to the LG washer and dryer pair, LG dishwasher, LG massage chair, and LG Styler Mini, while the home entertainment category also celebrated the LG Wireless OLED TV (M5) and LG StandbyMe2.
