
The RISE Project Group of Daejeon University held the opening ceremony for the 2025 Winter BioRG Practical Training Program in Biopharmaceutical GMP on Monday at the coworking space on the second floor of Daejeon Technopark’s D-Station, as announced on Tuesday.
The program is set to run for two weeks, from January 19 to 30. Industry professionals from Prime Healthcare, K-BIO Biopharmaceutical Production Center, Dong-A Pharmaceutical, and Janssen Korea, alongside professors from universities in the Daejeon area, will conduct hands-on training focused on biopharmaceutical production.
Each session will feature keynote speeches from local biotech company executives. On day one, Jo Gun-ho, Vice President of the Bio Healthcare Association, will deliver a lecture on the Current State of Daejeon’s Bio Healthcare Industry.
Subsequent guest speakers include Kim Jae-jun, Site Director at Merck BioProcessing Production Center; Yoo Seong-sik, Executive Director of the Central Vaccine Research Institute; Song Jong-am, Director at E&S Healthcare; Lee Sang-mok, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BioCure Farm; Park Young-woo, CEO of Y BioLogics; Kim Ui-jung, CEO of HLB Genex; and Kim Kyu-wan, Vice President of Alteogen.
