Daewon Pharmaceutical announced on Friday that it is significantly expanding its offline distribution channels by introducing its premium, high-concentration albumin product, Albumin King, to major department stores in Korea.
This launch represents a nationwide rollout rather than a temporary event. Albumin King will be simultaneously available at key locations of South Korea’s Big Three department stores – Lotte, Shinsegae, and Hyundai – as well as over 60 essential retail outlets nationwide, including AK Plaza and Galleria Department Store.
This expansion allows consumers easy access to the product at major department stores nationwide, including in metropolitan areas and in Busan, Daegu, and Gwangju, substantially increasing the company’s consumer touchpoints.
Since its debut, Albumin King has proven its market dominance by selling out 13 times in a row during home shopping broadcasts. Within just a month of its release, the entire second order was completely sold out, cementing its position as a leading product in the albumin market.
Company officials explained that the overwhelming consumer response, as reflected in broadcasts and persistent inquiries about offline purchases, prompted a flood of requests from department stores to stock the product. This high demand facilitated the expansion of their large-scale distribution network.
Baek In Young, head of Daewon Pharmaceutical’s Healthcare Division, stated that the success of Albumin King on home shopping channels had paved the way for the company’s entry into the premium department store market, adding that this achievement was a testament to consumers recognizing the true value of the product. He also said the company was committed to continuing to offer exceptional products that honor consumer trust and to maintaining its leadership in the total healthcare market.
