The National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) announced on Tuesday that its sustainability report received the highest honor, the Platinum Award, at the LACP Vision Awards organized by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP).
The LACP Vision Awards, an annual event since 2001, evaluates annual reports and sustainability reports from government agencies and corporations worldwide. Over 1,000 organizations globally participate in this prestigious competition.
The NHIS achieved a perfect score in seven out of eight categories of the LACP Vision Awards. These categories include clarity of information, report structure, stakeholder messaging, creativity, cover design, first impression, and financial information. With a total score of 99 out of 100 points, the NHIS report was also recognized as one of the top 100 reports worldwide.
This award acknowledges the NHIS’s sustainable management achievements, underpinned by its commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
The sustainability report, now in its fourth edition since the inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility Report in 2020, highlights the organization’s ESG management policies and adheres to international standards.
Jeong Gi-seok, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Service, remarked that this award is a significant global recognition of the dedicated efforts to implement sustainable management principles. It remains committed to creating social value and contributing to environmental sustainability for a better future.
