HD Construction Equipment is set to launch certifications for high-voltage handling and safety management of electric construction machinery.

The company announced on Friday that it has been selected by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, an agency under the Ministry of Employment and Labor, to participate in the Government-Recognized Corporate Qualification System.

This initiative grants official recognition to industry-specific qualifications developed by companies for specialized job roles.

As a result, HD Construction Equipment will now offer certification exams for High Voltage Handling and Safety Management in Construction Equipment (Levels 1 and 2), focusing on electric machinery such as excavators and forklifts. This marks the first such certification program for electric construction equipment in the country.

The certification process will be conducted at HD Hyundai Construction Equipment’s Global Training Center in Eumseong, North Chungcheong Province. Candidates will undergo training, evaluation, and certification procedures, with successful completion of both written and practical exams required for certification.

HD Construction Equipment has been developing these qualification categories in collaboration with HD Hyundai Site Solutions since 2024. The Level 2 certification, in particular, demands skills comparable to those of a nationally certified technician. Holders of this qualification will be equipped to handle equipment maintenance and ensure safety in live electrical environments.

Looking ahead, HD Construction Equipment plans to develop an advanced Level 4 course, equivalent to a master technician level, and broaden the scope of its qualification offerings.
