Samsung Biologics announced on Wednesday that it will bolster its global contract activities by participating in J.P. Morgan’s Healthcare Conference 2026, taking place in New York City from Monday to Thursday (March 23 to 26).

The J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, initiated in 1890 by the New York Chamber of Commerce, has become a cornerstone event in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, boasting a legacy of over 130 years.

Now organized annually by J.P. Morgan, the conference is renowned for its high-caliber attendees, with over 90% being senior executives wielding decision-making authority, making it an optimal platform for forging corporate partnerships.

Samsung Biologics has been a regular participant at the conference for 11 consecutive years since 2016, with the exception of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, the company will establish a dedicated meeting space in a prime location at the venue, aiming to conduct more than 50 business meetings with global pharmaceutical firms.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Rim will personally attend the event to engage in strategic partnership discussions with key industry leaders.

Marking his fourth consecutive year at the conference since 2023, Rim is focused on showcasing Samsung Biologics’ distinctive competitive edge as a global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO). His goal is to expand the company’s global footprint through securing concrete contracts and attracting new clients.

On the opening day, Monday, Kevin Sharpe, Vice President of Sales and Operations at Samsung Biologics, delivered a presentation at the member company forum. This exclusive session, limited to just 20 companies selected through a rigorous vetting process, highlights the most innovative firms in the industry.

Vice President Sharpe’s presentation, titled, Expanding Production Capacity and Developing Networks, highlighted recent milestones. These included the acquisition of the Rockville facility, land purchase for a third biocampus, open innovation partnerships with Eli Lilly, and a vaccine production collaboration with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI).

The company also undertook initiatives to enhance its brand recognition as a top-tier global CDMO. Samsung Biologics co-sponsored a presentation session on Tuesday, promoting its CDMO capabilities before and after the event. The company also strategically placed banners and promotional materials throughout the venue to boost visibility.

On Thursday, Samsung Biologics will join other industry leaders such as Lonza and Thermo Fisher Scientific in sponsoring the conference’s main dinner event. This presents a prime opportunity for the company to expand its network and forge new business partnerships with key industry figures in attendance.

Looking ahead, Samsung Biologics plans to maintain this momentum by participating in other major industry events. These include the American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting (AACR 2026) in San Diego this April and the Protein & Antibody Engineering Summit (PEGS) Boston Summit in May, further reinforcing its position in the global biopharmaceutical landscape.
