On Wednesday, wearable artificial intelligence (AI) diagnostic monitoring firm SEERS Technology announced plans to change its name to SEERS. This rebranding signifies the company’s ambition to evolve into a global digital healthcare platform. The name change will be finalized pending shareholder approval at the upcoming meeting.
SEERS intends to propose the name change at its 17th annual shareholders’ meeting on March 27.
This brand overhaul comes nearly 17 years after the company’s inception in 2009, reflecting its strategic shift towards becoming a comprehensive digital healthcare platform.
As a pioneer in South Korea, SEERS introduced wearable AI diagnostic services and inpatient monitoring systems. The company has demonstrated both business acumen and profitability, becoming the first publicly traded medical AI firm in the country to achieve annual profits.
The new moniker, SEERS, embodies the concept of visionaries. It encapsulates the founder’s philosophy of proactively anticipating shifts in the medical landscape and crafting innovative healthcare systems, even before digital healthcare became mainstream.
By dropping Technology from its current name, the company aims to underscore its evolution into a patient-centric, next-generation healthcare platform, leveraging its established technological expertise.
Alongside the rebrand, SEERS unveiled a new slogan: Connected Intelligence, Continuous Care. While the previous tagline, We Make Medicine Smarter, emphasized healthcare system innovation, the new motto highlights SEERS’ role in providing ongoing care throughout the patient journey, powered by wearable AI technology.
This reflects SEERS’ holistic patient management strategy, encompassing AI-driven disease screening and diagnosis, as well as post-hospitalization care.
The company has adopted a sleek, monochrome black logo to cultivate a more sophisticated global brand image. This redesign aligns with SEERS’ recent expansion into international markets, including the Middle East and the U.S., and anticipates increased collaboration with global healthcare institutions and partners.
Following this rebranding initiative, SEERS plans to aggressively pursue growth opportunities in the global digital healthcare market.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lee Young-shin stated that medical devices and services are instruments for building trust in healthcare. The name SEERS embodies our commitment to anticipating and preparing for healthcare transformations ahead of the curve.
He added that by changing from lowercase seers to uppercase SEERS, they’re emphasizing the enhanced role as a dependable healthcare partner.
