S&C Company, helmed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ryu Jeong-hoon, has unveiled a revamped version of its lead-free radiation protective gear, RaonMedix.

On April 2, S&C Company reported a surge in the use of digital X-ray and other imaging equipment in veterinary clinics, heightening radiation exposure risks for vets and animal health technicians.

Industry experts highlight a particular concern: the nature of treating dogs and cats often requires staff to physically restrain animals or assist closely during imaging, subjecting them to frequent, close-range radiation exposure.

To address this issue, S&C Company has developed and distributed protective suits incorporating lead-free radiation shielding materials.

The latest iteration of the product boasts expanded coverage while maintaining its lightweight design. It prioritizes user comfort through ergonomic engineering, aiming to reduce fatigue during extended wear.

Moreover, the incorporation of domestically sourced lead-free shielding materials mitigates heavy metal exposure concerns while enhancing durability and ease of maintenance.

CEO Ryu stressed the importance of heightened awareness regarding radiation exposure risks in veterinary settings. He called for refined guidelines on radiation safety standards and protective equipment management protocols.

Radiation’s invisible nature demands even more rigorous oversight, Ryu noted. He expressed hope for continued industry-wide attention and efforts to enhance safety measures, ensuring medical professionals can work in increasingly secure environments. [Happy Pet]
