Coway unveiled its new personal low-frequency stimulator, Terrasol P, on April 23, announcing that it has received certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

A spokesperson for Coway explained that Terrasol P is a home medical device designed to alleviate pain by utilizing various electrical stimulation technologies. It works by stimulating nerves and muscles, effectively modulating pain signal transmission. The representative further noted that the device incorporates pain-free nerve information transmission technology, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), and heat therapy functions.

Using the device is straightforward: users simply attach the electrodes or heated electrode pads to the affected area, select their preferred program, and adjust the intensity as needed. To ensure accessibility for older adults, the device features user-friendly display images and voice guidance.

The Terrasol P offers a range of specialized programs, including options for chronic pain relief, muscle pain management, massage therapy, menstrual pain relief, energy boost, relaxation, and interferential current therapy.

Coway has also developed a variety of pad configurations to suit different needs. These include standard low-frequency pads for use on the neck, shoulders, arms, and legs, electrode pads that incorporate heating functions, and pads specifically designed for abdominal use.

It developed this product with the goal of enabling people to manage chronic pain effectively from the comfort of their own homes, the Coway representative stated. The device can store up to four individual user profiles, automatically adjusting its output intensity based on factors such as gender, height, and weight.
