On Friday, Hugel, a global leader in total medical aesthetics, announced the successful completion of its Letybo Regional Symposium and Hands-On Training in Chengdu, a major hub for China’s beauty and medical industry.

This event was part of a six-city tour across China and marked the second regional symposium following the inaugural session in Beijing last April.

Dr. Oh Wook, director of the Mei Lin Clinic’s The Hyundai branch, represented Korea as a keynote speaker, sharing his expertise on various botulinum toxin techniques.

Professor Wang Hang from West China Hospital of Sichuan University offered insights into local clinical perspectives, discussing treatment strategies, case studies, and patient management approaches.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Lei Jiaqi then presented on advanced facial treatments using botulinum toxin.

The event drew over 100 Chinese medical professionals, who gained valuable knowledge about Letybo’s clinical efficacy, safety profile, and precise application methods.

The symposium was further enriched by the presence of key figures from both Hugel and its Chinese partner, including Hugel’s Vice President of Business Operations, Ji Seung-wook, and Zhou Xianfeng, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sa Huan Mei Yan, a subsidiary of Sa Huan Pharmaceutical.

Hugel’s partnership with Sa Huan Pharmaceutical extends beyond Letybo sales in China. The companies regularly conduct specialized training for local medical professionals, promoting standardized treatment guidelines and elevating the expertise within China’s aesthetic medicine industry.

These efforts have paid off, with Letybo capturing over 20% of China’s botulinum toxin market, backed by extensive distribution networks and reliable supply capabilities.

Vice President Ji expressed optimism about the symposium’s role in fostering mutual growth and collaboration between the aesthetic medicine industries of both nations. He affirmed that it will continue our robust academic outreach to cement the position as a K-toxin industry leader and expand Hugel’s brand influence globally.

In a parallel development, Hugel is ramping up its expansion into the Indonesian market. The company recently conducted an educational program on its botulinum toxin product Letybo (known as Botulax in South Korea) for more than 200 Indonesian healthcare professionals.
