DEEPNOID has secured approval from South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its innovative medical operations platform, designed to facilitate remote diagnostic services for hospitals and health screening centers.

The company announced on the 6th that it has successfully completed the regulatory approval process for AxonFlow, its Class I software medical device. This milestone paves the way for DEEPNOID to expand its reach beyond artificial intelligence (AI)-driven medical solutions, with plans to bolster its platform business supporting comprehensive hospital operations.

AxonFlow is a cutting-edge medical device that streamlines remote diagnostic workflows in hospitals and screening centers. It offers crucial features such as assigning readings, generating reports, managing billing, and handling certifications. The platform’s versatility allows integration with both proprietary and third-party AI solutions, enabling healthcare providers to operate various medical AI services within a unified ecosystem.

Remote diagnostics, which involves specialists interpreting medical images and test results from off-site locations, is gaining traction as a solution to address the shortage of medical professionals and enhance diagnostic efficiency.

Looking ahead, DEEPNOID aims to elevate AxonFlow by incorporating advanced AI agent capabilities. This enhancement will transform the platform from a basic diagnostic aid into a comprehensive service-oriented system, supporting the entire spectrum of operational processes within medical institutions.

Concurrently, the company is making strides in developing MedZero, a specialized medical foundation model. This innovative AI is designed to learn from a diverse array of medical imaging modalities, including X-rays, computed tomography (CT) scans, and magnetic resonance imagings (MRIs). Through this initiative, DEEPNOID seeks to establish a competitive edge in generative medical AI, tailored specifically to the nuances of the domestic healthcare landscape.

Choi Woo-sik, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DEEPNOID, articulated the company’s vision: The goal is to emerge as a leader in the medical AI service sector, offering a comprehensive suite of solutions, infrastructure, and AI agents. AxonFlow represents our first step towards realizing this vision and will play a pivotal role in unifying the medical AI service offerings.
