Wontech is ramping up its global presence by hosting its signature brand event Wave in Indonesia and Australia, aiming to expand its network of international medical professionals and strengthen its foothold in local markets.
The company recently held Wave Jakarta 2026 in the Indonesian capital on August 20, followed by Wave Sydney 2026 in Australia on August 8, as announced on Wednesday.
The Jakarta event drew 200 local medical experts and industry stakeholders. Discussions centered around the Oligio X device, covering patient selection criteria, treatment protocols, and clinical case studies. Attendees also explored combination treatment strategies incorporating Oligio X with other devices such as Titan, Lavieen, V-Laser, and Picocare Majesty.
In Sydney, 122 medical professionals and industry representatives participated. The focus was on showcasing innovative combination treatments that leverage the unique features of various devices, including eye treatments using Oligeo X and Laviang, as well as procedures combining Oligio X with Picocare Majesty.
During the Australian event, Wontech engaged in strategic discussions with its local partner, Cryomed, to boost sales and marketing efforts for key products. The company plans to tailor its Wave program to meet the specific needs of medical professionals and align with the aesthetic medical landscape in each market, thereby reinforcing its local business foundations.
A Wontech spokesperson emphasized that given the diverse aesthetic medical market environments and varying needs of medical professionals across countries, a localized approach is crucial. Through the Wave events, it aims to foster clinical exchanges and strengthen partnerships to achieve concrete results in each market.
Founded in 1999, Wontech has evolved from a laser medical device specialist to a comprehensive player in the skin and beauty sectors. The company expanded into the home care market in 2010 with the launch of its Hair Beam, an at-home hair loss treatment device. After going public on KONEX in 2015, Wontech has grown into a prominent aesthetic medical device company, broadening its product range to include energy-based devices utilizing radio frequency (RF), lasers, and ultrasound technologies.
In 2022, Wontech upgraded its listing to KOSDAQ through a merger with Daishin Balance No. 8 Special Purpose Acquisition Company. The firm is now targeting both domestic and international markets with its flagship products, including Oligio, Picocare, Lavieen, and Titan. Notably, Wontech is positioning its Oligio RF lifting device as a key growth driver, expanding medical professional training programs and local partnerships across Japan, China, Southeast Asia, Australia, and the United States. This strategic approach is transforming Wontech into a global leader in the aesthetic medical device industry.
