CPHI, now in its 37th year, is the world’s largest pharmaceutical and biotech exhibition, covering industry-wide collaboration from production and supply chain development to contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) and strategic partnerships.
More than 60,000 industry professionals representing about 2,400 companies from more than 170 countries are expected to attend the event to pursue business partnerships and expand their networks.
First, Celltrion will further strengthen partnering in the novel drug sector as part of its companywide effort to become a global drug developer. As research achievements in novel drugs targeting major disease areas such as cancer, obesity and metabolic diseases, and autoimmune diseases are becoming more visible, the company plans to focus on identifying promising partners for collaboration in these areas.
At the same time, as demand for production in global markets continues to rise with the expansion of its core product portfolio, Celltrion will focus on securing stable manufacturing and supply capabilities to support further market share growth.
The company also plans to accelerate business diversification beyond biosimilars into CDMO and novel drugs by seeking customized partnerships in response to rapidly growing global CDMO demand, leveraging its expertise in antibody-based biologic drug development and strong production capacity.
In the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, capacity, or CAPA, refers to the maximum amount a drug manufacturing facility can produce over a given period. Because building large-scale manufacturing facilities for biologics requires considerable time and investment, securing stable production capacity is considered a key factor determining product supply and competitiveness in winning contracts.
To execute these business strategies, Celltrion will participate with its own standalone booth for the fifth consecutive year since 2022. This year, it will again install a large standalone booth covering about 1,500 square feet to showcase its global brand strength and accumulated research, development and manufacturing capabilities.
The booth will feature dedicated meeting rooms and a separate lounge, where Celltrion will hold a series of business meetings with potential global customers and partners. The company will also operate a range of on-site programs designed to effectively communicate its corporate value and technological capabilities to pharmaceutical and biotech industry representatives from around the world, while strengthening its global profile.
