3billion, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered genetic diagnostics firm focused on rare diseases, marks its 10th anniversary. The company has provided test results to over 100,000 patients and expanded its services to 75 countries, significantly growing the rare disease diagnosis market.

3billion announced on Wednesday the launch of its 10 Years of Answers, Together campaign to commemorate this milestone. The initiative will showcase stories from patients, families, healthcare providers, researchers, and partners who have been integral to the rare disease diagnosis journey over the past decade, while also highlighting the company’s growth trajectory and future plans.

Since its inception in 2016, 3billion has developed cutting-edge AI-based genetic variant interpretation technology to tackle the problem of diagnostic odyssey, where patients with rare diseases often endure multiple medical visits before receiving an accurate diagnosis.

Today, more than 2,200 medical professionals across 75+ countries utilize 3billion’s testing services. The company’s financial performance has been robust, with revenues reaching 11.7 billion KRW (approximately 8.7 million USD) in 2025. 3billion reports that its revenue has more than doubled annually over the past three years.

The vast genomic database amassed by 3billion over the past decade serves as a cornerstone for its operations. The company has analyzed approximately 3.287 trillion DNA base pairs, with its servers housing around 4,200 terabytes (TB) of genomic data. To date, 3billion has reported 48,798 genetic variants to patients.

As part of its 10th-anniversary campaign, 3billion will release a series of 10 content pieces featuring stories from patients, healthcare providers, researchers, partners, and employees. These narratives will explore the rare disease diagnosis challenges that inspired the company’s founding, share experiences of patients and families who have benefited from the diagnostic services, and offer insights from medical professionals and global partners.

Looking to the future, 3billion aims to leverage its genomic data and AI technology to expand beyond diagnosis into early detection and drug development.
