Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is generating unprecedented advance ticket sales.

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing system, as of 7:00 a.m. (Korean time) on Monday, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has secured a staggering 67.9% of advance bookings, with 577,343 tickets already sold.

This marks a surge of 70,000 tickets in just 24 hours, following the previous day’s milestone of 500,000 pre-sales. The film’s trajectory is outpacing even Avatar: The Way of Water, which had 500,541 pre-sale tickets three days before its 2022 release that ultimately drew 10.82 million viewers.

Remarkably, two days before its premiere, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has already surpassed the combined pre-sale figures of the previous Tom Holland+Spider-Man trilogy, hinting at a potential box office record for the franchise.

The series has consistently performed well, with Spider-Man: Homecoming drawing 7.25 million viewers, Far From Home attracting 8.02 million, and No Way Home bringing in 7.55 million. Industry insiders are optimistic that this fourth solo outing will continue the trend of blockbuster success.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day follows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as he grapples with a mysterious foe who remembers his secret identity and battles uncontrollable powers from DNA mutations. Amidst deepening chaos, Parker must confront new threats to protect his loved ones in this action-packed spectacle, set for a worldwide premiere on July 29.
